The rope is spliced onto the block of the trapeze ring, then led up over the block in the clamcleat. You can then just tie a knot in the end as your lowest range. We found that having a very thin line in a couple of loops from from the hole in the bottom of the clamcleat around the rope that comes under strain is also really useful because it stops the cleat flopping about so much.
Just a word of warning, before you go splicing things on try the system with a bowline instead as unless your crew finds it very easy to pull themselves up and down you will not get any performance benefit due to the amount of energy being used raising and lowering.

I've noticed that a few 29ers are now switching from 2:1 trapeze adjustment down to 1:1 as there is less rope and therefore less hassle without much more physical strain on me, the crew.  I have tried to figure out a way of rigging the rope but I can't find a system that seems to run smoothly  Cry
Any help would be awesome  Big smile
