Shadow..... especially now they've got a bigger kite, blooming fantastic and a lot, lot, cheaper than A-Class (which I will admit now would be the ultimate single-handed cat from current available)

Leadlugging for you then "me old mucker".

As an old sailmaker friend of mine once said, "there's nothing wrong with them that walking frame won't cure".

If your issue is not wanting to hike, get a Canoe.

Jimbo further to my post in your what Cat thread, i think the Vortex would be a great stop gap for you.  They cost Sweet FA and would be a great 'soft' intro back into single handed performance sailing.  I am not sure you would want one long term but for a 1000-1500 quid they are cheap fun and for that money you surely can't go wrong.

Gosh James, I am really sorry you're having to sell.  I face the same issue with the contender, having just been referred to physio and having had a steroid injection, all for the shoulder, never mind the busted wrist.  I can't see me regaining the strength to work the mainsheet.

If I had the dosh I'd be buying your boat like a shot - the sheeting angle off the boom looks more manageable for the bust right limb.  As it is, everything is tied up in one fine contender and several lumps of wood.

Don't buy a vortex, buy a proper cat, and good luck with it.

Nessa x
