We have 2 Corsa, a '99 and a 2002. The steering on the 2002 is much lighter than the 99 which does handle a lot better. The 2002 is a C with the 99 a B but the same engine and steering which is very strange. The only other difference is the B has got heavy duty springs on the back (the roads round here are awful) the C will be getting the same treatment in the new year.

Lovely shot of a 4x4 sliding down the hill on the beeb earlier all four wheels locked. FWD is only as good as the d*ck behind the wheel.
 
My little front wheel drive van got me to the farm and back at all hours over the weekend no problems at all.

My jap job has some sort of traction control device. If you turn it off a light comes on on the dashboard. That is the only difference as far as I can see. That's still on the drive.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

News came in this morning it was taking an hour just to get to Ashford.

If you don;t want a 4x4 then a small engines front wheel drive with relatively skinny tyres is the way to go....

50 weeks? We've had 12 weeks of snow this year. All of Jan and Feb and then the 3 more this December. Fortunately I've managed to find some snow chains on Amazon. If I don't even need to use them it'll still be worth while. Wink
