Started to lose the will to live reading that thread.

The solution is an easy one though.

All the people involved in dinghy sailing who take themselves so seriously need to take their heads out of their arse and lighten up a bit.

This will make sailing more appealing to a new market than any particular type of boat.

There are a couple of reasons why I stopped sailing. I've mentioned one of them in this post.

Wonderful wisdom once again, many thanks.

I am well thank you.  Wife, two kids and new home in Spain (although work still drags back to the grey misery of the UK Monday to Thursday).

I'm in the process of buying another boat, but waiting for the autumn before making the final arrangements.

And yourself?  Still skating and causing Daisy great social pain and embarrassment?

Just sail something silly and ignore everyone and everything else. Simple.

Dear Dave,

I fear that the second thread on the Laser Nationals demonstrates the forum may have lost its way somewhere since your last contributions.

Is there any remedy?

cheers,

What you have there is an opportunity, not a difficulty. Because of course that is a good reason to drink one's G&Ts quickly enough that they don't get unsuitably diluted, which is in turn an opportunity to drink a lot more G&Ts.

Crap in what way? Are you scared of a bit of wind? Are you scared of getting wet?

Getafix hahahaha more like Getalife, now stop winging and go sailing.

Either take it out and start again or if that proves too difficult contact RS and buy a new mast fully rigged
