I have just had a look at the results. Still no sign of the elapsed and corrected times though.

The deciding factor on the team entry was having a boat equal or slower than a laser.
I believe the results should have been
HSSC - 19 or 62.5 points
Broadstairs - 26 or 68 points
Redoubt - 38 or 154 points
Downs - 39 or 182 points

No other club had a 3 boat team to meet the one boat equal or slower than laser requirement.

As for running off 1032 I did offer the class recommended 1017 but was told it made no difference (hence why I want the times).

Ah seen them now..

So we had three in the top five, with Tom's Contender and 8 in the top twenty so I guess the team prize must be safe after all, then it was a bit of a home team advantage I guess and in all truth the boys can't be declared entirely 'bandit' free, running that boat off 1032, having said that, they were 1st over the water every time, so all in all, not an uncommon result in this day and age.

totally had it not been so rough i would have put the t foils on the miracle just to add some extra speed. wasnt bandit enough to catch the bandit 2000 though lol

it was well run good quick turnaround of races and nearly got my boat carried all the way to the top of the beach. yeah something about having boats of differing pys to make up a team, but to be fair a lot of boats didnt do all 3 races so was pretty hard to sort the team prizes out.

Aha so does that mean someone in a bent Miracle advanced his banditry by any chance? Wink

tbh I haven't seen the results in total and I wasn't there that much, but it seemed like it all went well enough, although I detected some mutterings from Broadstairs when Hythe claimed the 'team' prize as well, I suppose that must have to be recalculated then?

Sadly adrian's 3rd palce was short lived graeme as it was a no discard series which means he dropped a place to 4th as the results will show.

but perfect conditions none the less.

Thanks Graeme

It was hard work getting round the course as a lot of boats found.

The massive trophy was definitely worth it.

In an outstanding demonstration of not being dumb or even dumberer, the boys done good, upheld the honour of Hythe and won the Man of Kent.

Congrats to Dan and Andrew, we really will have to find them a new nickname..

One day. Wink

They weren't the only Hythe guys that did well, Adrian Smith came thrid in a Contender and Anna Wire nailed Maid of Kent in a Vision.

I wasn't there the entire time having had an unfortunate incident with strong drink and a mates 40th at Eastbourne the night before, but the event seemed to have run swimmingly, more so for some than others, but we also had a seventh from Mark & John aka Chuckle bros aka Muppets du Nord, in the five oh.

So all in all not a bad showing.

There were rumours of a bunch of Vareo jockeys looking to kick the RS100 t**sers arse, but lucky for me the wicked drink saved my particular day, sorry I missed it, maybe next year.. Wink
