F5 cross shore in the bay at San Fransisco - no boat or board to hand. Alcatraz to port looking like a good 'row-te'.

Stir crazy also... but a good fish butty.

always good to get back on the water. Definitely a big grin day on the south coast, big waves and wind. Not a fan of the F7-8 gust that ripped through with stinging rain though.

After something of a layoff due to the boat being broken, two days of testing it all went back together again properly. Light stuff yesterday, rather windier today! Heading out after lunch, we hoisted the kite and started accelerating. And accelerating. A Cambridge Uni Firefly nearly came to grief, but the nut on the stick responded to my cry of "HIKE!" to their obvious relief!  We kept getting faster.... good fun, big grins!

Good day at BCYC on Saturday, joint Solo, Laser and OK Open.

Good fleets for all three classes, good courses and a pretty decent blow, thanks to all the organizers. Only one general recall and that was the OKs, so not much hanging about.

Sneaked a race win and a 3rd overall in the Solos.

Our local 'flyweight' Solo sailor said he enjoyed himself and got 6th overall. He is quite handy with the waggle stick though.

Your better half let you go sailing on her birthday......

Was a nice day for a sail yesterday if a tad frustrating at time with the wind going from nice to nothing, swining through a wide angle and then back to nice....
