Good question.
My personal answer would be yes because GOD dall decided to cheat a little and borrow more than a spare rib or two off a F18.
Sorry about such a deep and meaningfull answer but I thought I'd try and cover all bases..... It's late and a Friday.

Question for you;-

is the viper supposed to sail off of the same handicap as
the venerable spitfire?

Shameless advertising but recently the F16 Viper won their Class at Eurocat, and on Handicap the Belguim Cat Championships and the French Cat Championships.  OK some of the worlds best Cat sailors were driving but the same could be said for the F18 teams they were competing against.
