A lot of the grey stuff you get on the metal work is limescale. Most products that remove limescale are acid based so make sure you rinse off thoroughly if you use them. Try it on a small patch first. Stiff camcleats can be resurected very well with limescale remover. Edited by GK.LaserII |

I wouldn't T cut it you'll go through the anodising! As
said before it's abrasive!!! I'd go with Mr Rockhopper's suggetion - (Hi Andy, Happy New Year!!) Use a bit of white spirit first or cellulose thinners to remove what looks like the sticker residue, then Back To Black. ![]() Edited by didlydon |

Just go easy with T cut, it is mildly abrasive. The coating (whatever it is, and it looks like anodising to me) will only be wafer thin, rub too hard and you will be back to base metal particularly on the prominent corners and bits. Another suggestion, but I haven't tried it could be 'Duraglit', anyone else used it? |

try back to black it makes it quite smooth and it does bring the colour back also try using turtle wax with black colour already added this should help cover over the bits that are marked

Forgive the vanity but would T-Cut help to bring back the 'blackness' on masts and booms? I can't work out if it's painted or anodised. Obviously I could just try but I would have to go an buy some first. |
