Yes, i believe they are Steve, but with 2 RS300 sailors on board that bow is going to take some lifting! |

depends on the length of the pole and how much it flexes. |

Aren't kites meant to lift the bow...?

And then panic, as you reach the back of the wing, want to get a bit further and realise that you can't and just hope that the bow pops out of its own accord.

First of all, fair play for getting out there and giving it some in the breeze so soon after getting the boat, looking good! You can probably sail with your weight there inland - it looks pretty flat there, but if it were that windy offshore, you'd be hanging off the back for definate. The trick is not to be afraid to get right back if you need to.

Fair do's, i'm all for constructive critiscism, just like to know the whys as well if that makes sense. Same run a fraction of a second later, I dont think we have moved any further back so perhaps we were just in a "wave" in the last pic. I say wave but we sail on a lake so they dont really count.... |

Haha yep it is the split second critique but why not, I'm bored. Dunno, just from sailing them, that picture just looks to me like you are pushing a bit of water and you could be a little further back. Then again it could just be the photo!

ahha the split second critique.... but why sit back? The bows nowhere near the water, wouldnt that just cause drag? I'll admit we could hike harder but im lazy.... more pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/98882529@N00/sets/7215762254375 5369/ Edited by chrisg |
