i think any hardwood would do it.
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Andy,

I suspect that it will be mahogony.

I would ask the question on the CVRDA web site, they are very helpful.

The wood can be sourced from Robbins timber in Bristol. They will post wood out to anywhere in the UK and are very helpful.

In some blustery weather I suffered from a shroud plate being torn out of my Enterprise. Initial inspection suggested that there was some minor damage but nothing major.

The shroud plate is screwed through the freeboard into a timber knee. Having now had the time to do a proper investiagtion I found that the half of the knee was completely rotten with no chance of repair.

I need then to make a new one, but want to make sure that I use the appropriate timber, can anybody offer any advice on what timber to go for and where I might buy it.
