Buy a tube of Duralac, bright yellow anti-corrosion paste.  Every chandelary worth going to should stock it, use it for every steel/aluminium  or aluminium/carbon interface.  That will keep it safe

careful with stainless and aluminium, unless it is COMPLETELY sealed you will get dissimiliar metal corrosion.

Bulk buy from AngliaStainless http://www.angliastainless.co.uk website is not much use, so you will need to get a brocure or have a chat to the helpfull people on the phone, but the products are high quality and for reasonable sized orders (get mates/club to pitch in) they are the best value.

Sold individually but a better price than most chandlers.  Also good for other stainless fixings.
You are better off using Monel rivets on a mast, rather than Stainless they are less prone to corrosion.

You can use stainless if you have a strong enough rivet gun. I got an assortment of Stainless rivets on e-bay
If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right

I always use monel rivets for attaching fittings to alloy spars but am getting fed up with paying through the nose for a small pack from the chandlers. What I really want is a large box of assorted sizes at a reasonable price to put in my tool kit. Does anyone know where I could get such a thing? I have found someone who supplies such a thing in A4 stainless rivets - could I use these instead of monel?
