Could you not repair it as round tube then splice in a section of external track?

Ross thinking about it i would send the mast away to get it profesionally repaired because it has a built in track, it may cost you a small fortune but you would have a nice shiny carbon mast for your cherub!

Its originally a cherub mast. Then lengthened for my 12ft skiff which I broke, now letting go to Ross as I dont have time to mend it nor the need for it. Yes if it were a simple tube then just get the inner carbon sleeve and gob it together. But due to the internal track its a bit more tricky.

You need to make a "mould" of the inside to make the sleeve, then gob and carbon much the same as a normal tube - then run the angle grinder down the track and bobs your uncle!

other ways are a normal tube sleeve, with a carbon tube gobbed in place for the track - once its all set grind out the track - where theres a will theres a way!!

Ignore my user name, my views are of a 12ft skiff

I havnt done a mast repair before but i should imagine it would involve some kind of inner sleevethen trying to mat together the broken strands.  And finally carbon bandage over the top.  Although that has a built in track which could make it harder.

Carbonology?! They've repaired (and made) cabon boats, cars and other cool stuff like that before. They were going to do my 600 carbon mast track repair but I didnt need it doing in the end. tbh, it could be quite expensive tho!

Splosh.

Didn't have more detail at the time, do now.

Break is just below the t-terminals, I'm sure Andy will fill you in on the rest.
