I would imagine the poor sod's been hiking he gnads off for a good hour or two to get that shot... flat, suitable for facebook in light of the negative remarks on here, SA and Facebook.

Jack Sparrow/Daryl's comment on FBook was absolutely spot on about the hiking strap, and in fairness, appears to have been received well and in good spirits.

There is a comment on MXNext Facebook page about the straps, suggesting they shouldn't leave your feet in mid-air, for which MX Next thanked the poster.

But also this:
Two-men trapezing version is in the works... As soon as we fully test the mxNext and learn more about her shape, we'll ratchet up the work on mx-2.

The outhall seem to be pulled really tight, not many una-rigs would do that until forum wind reaches dogs off chains

To be fair, it is nearly 2m wide - that's 6 inches (to mix my units) wider then an RS100.  But yes, it is still too narrow.

At least you get to go around looking for waves to 'pierce', though.  Ermm

you can see how narrow it looks now... I remain unconvinced by this.

A complete non-starter in a boat with low freeboard that is designed to be sailed upright but don't let any of that stop you ...

Such as they've been using in the primeval Star class for years:
Come on Grumph, do try to keep up.

And I would know that because..?

That thing doesn't look much cop anyway, it doesn't support the upper body, chest harness is what's required, so a gentleman can lean back, deck chair style, maybe I'll see if such a thing could be jury rigged on the EPS of joy, not sure if I could even lay my hands on an actual chest harness these days though..
