BBSCFaithfull and Ross, maybe it's worth considering using the 'Banter' section?

Thanks to ISAF they don't have them any more, but amusingly there are bigger names on the Cherub Worlds trophy than there are on the i14 one...

It looks like 'Ronin' is going to be the only GT60 and is currently owned by Pete Barton who is completely rinsing everyone!

So ross the cherub class is proud of a boat that was derived from the latest 14 design? Thats quite funny really.
But no match for FS im sure

Hey Alex, If your such a 14 brown noser how come you're not at the nationals? Think of all that clsoe big fleet racing you're missing.

Some people have to work ross to pay for events. Brown noser eh? I just have a passion for my class which im sure you do. and i think the 80+ boats at the worlds should do me fine thank you ross

Yes, but it is a big board and it would be a pain in the arse to gybe with half it sticking up into the cockpit! I'm pretty sure Pete and Roz could work with it though. Small foils mean you can go faster, but you have to be going faster for them to be working. The T-foil I'm going to be building for FS will have a shorter rudder to compensate for the speed increase.

Couldn't that be solved with lifting the board some at the windward?

That's an understatement! I was racing against Pete and Roz in the GT60 at the Weston Skiff Open in an 800 last weekend, and upwind they regularly had pace and height on us. Just amazing. They lost out a bit (and I mean a 'bit') downwind, but might as well been sailing a different class to the other Cherubs (and a different league to the 12ft Skiffs as well, for that matter!) irrespective of Pete being a top class sailor. We finished in the top 3 overall so I'd like to think we were sailing the 800 reasonably close to it's potential! If the new Cherubs are as fast as Pete can sail the GT60 (as well made and reliable), that can't be a bad thing for you Cherub-ites.
