Brasso contains ammonia so be careful, but you should be okay Be sure to have a bucket full of water and give the area a good wash down to remove the brasso residue - better to be safe than sorry |

Hair dryer - no probs. After all you are just looking to soften the glue enough to make it less sticky. Now....Getting rid of any sticky residue that could be a problem as a lot of solvents could damage the gelcoat |

Hairdryer should be fine; heat gun now tha's a different matter.... I'd recommend keeping your hand on the sticker while you use the hot air device: if it is in danger of burning your hand it is probably getting a bit hot! |

A hairdryer is the only way to get them off really. Just hold it quite far away so that they heat upslowly and make sure when you are pulling them off you pull them back on top of them so its almost like you are rolling it off

My lovely ( fiberglass ) Contender has dinghy park stickers on it going back 10 years. They look horrid! I was going to try to get them off with a hair dryer but realised I may melt the gelcoat or somthing dreadfull All advice gratefully received....
