For my book on Little Cup, I research a good photo of the page 796 of Yachts and Yachting, October 9, 1970, where I can see details of Quest III boom and Sneiper deck arrangement.
Many thanks if anybody get this number.

Dear Sir, As I see on a forum, Yachts & Yachting, Emma Hamilton C-Class catamaran is in your Club. I am writing a book : on the history of the International Catamaran Challenge trophy, “Little America's Cup“ history (in English and French) for the next even in Lac Leman in 2015 (last in Falmouth sept. 2013). I research the lines, deck and sail plans of all the boats. As in my others books, I redraw all the contenders. Is it possible to get a copy of the lines, deck and sail plan of the C-Class Emma Hamilton1965 from the owner. The book will be published this year, so I am in a hurry to find all the documents. Best regards François Chevalier Autor You can see my work on my blog : |

Ocelot was stored at Maidenhead SC until recently. I believe it may be somewhere around the Solent now. |

Hi Norman
Got your email and you have probably seen the pictures of UK3. The boat is still as original right down to the sheets and pulleys, sails etc. I have it housed in a special boat house which forms the lower area of our home. Amazing piece of kit, a few years ago we had Reg White visit and sailed the boat with us. He could not believe the condition and really enjoyed the day. If you have any particular questions please let me know. john McLaughlin |

The condition and location of the old Brit C cats seems as confusing as ever.
L helmsman. NMMC. NOT SAILED in many years Hellcat 1, 2, 3. One has gone to Canada. I think this is 1. There's another in Northern Ireland, and the owner contacted me only for me to lose his details Ocelot is still around, USA I think E Hamilton was at Calshot, again, I have lost details of the owner I want to see what kind of interest there is in some of these boats coming to Falmouth in sept Norman

Peter Emmerson, who used to sail Tornado's in the UK, met up with Reg after the Spitfire Europeans in Cork in 2005, and travelled North to meet up with John McLaughlin and sail the Hellcat. Below is part of an article I wrote for Afloat Magazine in 2004. In 1962, two years before the formation of the Irish Catamaran Association (As the IMA was known up to 1984), the McLaughlin family from Cushendall went to the London Boat Show and bought a Hellcat catamaran. This magnificent 25ft by 14ft catamaran, sail no. Edited by Dermot M |

One of the original Hellcats from 1961/62 still in perfect condition, pictured taken with Reg White at the helm in Aug 2005. Boat kept at Cushendall Co. Antrim N.I. Great boat to sail.

Hi thanks for the offer,l'll look forward for a spin on Emma. Had a look at Calshotcats website / Gallery looks a friendly, relaxed club with lots of fun.Like the idea skirmishes to the bars, would that be on H/C or first to the bar buys the beer, when so I would reduce the sail area on Emma. Iv passed the info re C Class CSSC website on .
