Delivered sail to croatia for me , cheapest and near enough only ones to take over 1.5 m .

it actually went  by fedex too !!, they would have charged about £200 direct , parcelflight £44.00

Great website with a really simple quotation page. Great if I want to send my mast to Mainland Europe (£39 to France) however they don't deliver anything over 1.5m within UK .

I'll keep looking.

Just remembered , as I was behind one of their lorries , Drummond Distribution, used to use them many moons ago through business , they were very good and very good prices too for moving stuff around uk , they collected and delivered two moths and masts for me , in one piece !!!

As I say was quite a while ago , company grown quite a bit since then but seem to be same family business I used .They specialised in shifting "anything " at all rather than just nice neat packages most couriers prefer

worth a call at least

You can try Interlink Express. They will deal with private individuals and you can pay by credit card. Be aware tho that they have a max length of 3 mtrs and any parcel between 2 mtrs and 3 mtrs is classed as freight and will be charged as so or a £15 surcharge added. The local depot may take cash on collection but check with them first and get a quote. You will need dimensions and the actual weight.

There are restrictions on international parcels but 1.5mtrs to Europe should not be a problem.

When I sent my Finn main to North for a repair they told me just to fold it up and put it in a box. Obviously I took the battens out.
When it came back it was beautifully flaked and folded....

DHL got me a rig from New Zealand to Epsom. The local delivery office complained about it being too long for their local delivery vans so they had to send one of the artics. That rig had a separate topmast though.

Go to your friendly local chandler and get them to do it for you.

Yes it's more expensive, but you won't have to wait in for a courier, they will pack it for you and the buyer is paying postage anyway - it's not as if fireball sails turn up on ebay often!

I got a new rig (two piece mast as well as sails) sent from New Zealand by DHL a few years ago. Business sender though.
