The foil out of the water is providing the right moment, it has a lot of lead in it. So in theory yes but you would not develop enough power and hence speed to get enough lift.

Silly question time?
If the foils create lift, would you be able to lift the boat back onto the foils more easily by putting both sets down? Prompted by the racing today

Great to see some detailed analysis of Prada Cup and team Ineos in today's Times newspaper widening the game to sports fans. Congratulations on the input, it has also greatly added to my enjoyment of watching the racing.
