As of to prove how good the N12 database is, I've just found 'Crystal Tips' on it. Only just remembered what it was called.
I stripped and painted it with my infant son watching, when awake, from his pram. He's 23 now.

The only piece of info in those boat databases potentially affected by the new GDPR is the owners name, and probably not that or you would not be able to publish race results!

The N12 boat database is a wikipedia style communal effort. It's been around for 10-15 years, I think the Cherubs had something similar before that?

Some CA websites are looking a bit dated these days. With the rise of FB I think much of the work of updating news/photos and class forums have become less relevant. Maybe better to have a simpler 'shop window' style aimed at prospective members that can be more easily kept current?

The Y&Y/Sail-World site (no disrepect to Mark) is also looking a bit retro these days. ;)

I can imagine the upkeep being time consuming. Part of the reason I was impressed with the N12 site. More boats and history than that new upstart Phantom as well.

If it includes owners and clubs then yes but the unchanging stuff (related to sail number) like build date, design and construction are still useful to new buyers.
