It's shaping up to be a good event. The rain god has been on our side and the reservoir is nearly full. Entries have been rolling in at a steady rate, and with a little over three weeks to go we have over 60 entries. If recent years are anything to go by it looks like we will reach the limit of 120 boats well before the cut off point for entries, so to avoid disappointment it is worth entering now, on-line at www.stevenicholsontrophy.co.uk

I forgot to mention in my original post that we have good launching and recovery for keel boats (Flying Fifteens, K1s, K6s etc).

The Steve Nicholson Trophy is being held at Northampton Sailing Club on Saturday 30th January 2016.

The event is held in memory of Steve Nicholson, a young talented sailor and member of Northampton Sailing Club. Steve sadly passed away following an asthma attack in 2002, and the event has been held in aid of Asthma UK on the last Saturday of January each year since then.

It will follow the successful format used in previous years, but in order to ease the strain on the shore side facilities the limit on the number of entries has been lowered to 120 boats.

As usual, excellent food will be available from Elaine's legendary galley, and the bar will be open after racing. Sponsorship has been kindly provided by Pinnell & Bax and Harken

The entry fee is £25 per boat and you can find out more and enter online at www.stevenicholsontrophy.co.uk
