I noticed recently (prob about 2-3 weeks ago) that there were far fewer ads on the 'duck - my assumption was that someone there had simply had a clear out of obsolete adverts.

And no local after sales support, which is what you tend to expect if you pay the premium for a new boat.

I doubt it was really designed for the UK market. Plenty of space in the US market, though, given Dinghy sailing has struggled in recent times, or so I'm given to understand.

The Melges 14 is available Freight On Board, ex-VAT and handling Italy for $10,700.00

I can't see a market for it here in the UK, not with the Aero and Zero as the new options, and the Supernova as a solid alternative for someone looking for something a little more established.

The cost saving of not having to buy a wardrobe from Rooster can be offset against the boat purchase cost.

I noticed that 'self sailing boat'.  Why is it so heavy? If it is supposed to be based on NS14 which in turn inspired ICON then where is the weight? Perhaps meant for f*t Americans?

I did wonder why the hull was so heavy. Sleeved sail too ( on a mast that looks a bit agricultural compare to other unstayed carbon masts)
