![]() ![]() (also helps to have the right tool for job.... something like a 505 or a Contender. None of those flat water point-n-squirt saucers they sold us in the 90's)

The standard D-Zero mainsheet is 7mm. I have recently changed mine to 6mm I think but slightly longer than standard. Personal preference. I find the sheet loading about right. We play the mainsheet lots (perhaps more than some boats) to keep the boat driving fast and flat, any more sheet loading and I think it would cause some issues for people over a hard days racing. So whilst some may find a heavier load fine, remember we have a diverse fleet of both sexes, weight and age so, like most things in the dinghy world. There needs to be a happy compromise.

Gordon, got to agree with that, don't know what all those pond monkeys do to keep themselves interested whilst they go round in small circles

Sailing Dinghies in 25knots is great fun. especially if you add waves.
flat water and no tide is not natural. |

What are you doing sailing dinghies in 25 knots FFS?
(And yes, I've kept the fat one that came with the Laser for winter usage ... )

We like a big manly sort of rope you can hold on to in 25knots - survival beats feel.
