Perfect 12-15 knots as the prize giving started.

Unfortunately I didn't fancy getting in wet kit for the 2nd time in a weekend.
Thanks
Jamie

5 races at our club alone will have generated at least 20 across both classes.  My perception is that the Aero is a little bit quicker across the conditions.

5 races will generate 5 races, just they will have a higher c.f. because of the more boats (I think)

Then say races not results.....

Don't I know it! But you can't blame the club for the wind can you?

I plan to make one final attempt to sign up for winter membership this year on the 6th.... Putting that in the diary almost guarantees it will Beaufort Mountain Bike....

From the photos, the Dash doesn't look to have been that light.  People sitting to windward, and there's even a Fireball crew on the wire (yes, with the helm sitting to windward).  More wind than we had to battle against the tide with, anyway (another day, creeping up tide, 'will we, won't we?', toward the windward mark, when tidal PY's looked like such an obvious thing to adopt)

Conditions at the Draycote Dash:-

Race 1 & 2: 8-10kts, occasionally gusting 12kts
Race 3: 7kts (Moths no longer foiling)
Race 4: 4kts
Pursuit Race: 3-4kts

I'd be surprised if the pursuit race was 3-4 knots. Less than 2... and nothing at all for long periods it seemed.

I do believe someone once said there was 'always wind at Draycote'.... so no back chat on your harbringing of doom now Mr B ;-)

Ha! Ha! You're right - there IS always wind at Draycote - just sometimes it sucks rather than blows... Wink. That was possibly the longest 120 minutes of my life (well, since the last time I did the Dash, the very first one I think, when there was no wind for the pursuit...).

hard cheese for the RS300 ... the pursuit race is very dominant in the results; double points and non discard-able ...  seems the races on Saturday are just foreplay ...

MM the first 2 races on Saturday had me hiking out, however it soon dropped off to a crouch by the mast style driftathon.  Still very enjoyable and managed superbly.
