No, my best job ever, bar man at a nightclub... so much fun, the work bit went quick, with loads of nice customers Wink (and the afterwork parties were something else)

I seem to recall their is a coastal endorsement that gets signed of separately in the G14. There certainly used to be a coastal/tidal section on the certificates.

maybe it was a 'local thing'... there were two centres where we taught, one inland, one estuary.  I know I had to have a separate assesment for the estuary one... all a total waste of money, I hated teaching sailing/providing cheap childcare.... in fact I preferred shop work, at least I could then enjoy the time when I got back in a boat rather than being sick of it after a week around them.

admitted, there is a fair bit of water under the bridge since then but I had a DI ticket back then and taught inland and on 't sea, don't remember there being any kind of tidal or coastal 'badge' or box needed ticking

Ha, they'd definitely say no to me then, not having a single RYA qualification (Other than Powerboat)then what would I know about tide, every RYA coach there has ever been has disagreed with me.

...finding new respect for those terribly knowledgeable chaps at the RYA all of a sudden ....  Wink

I thought 'level 3' was some shiny new system that replaced the 'elementary dayboat certificate ' I have somewhere?
