I suspect there is no point, because if you can't set the jib properly by barber-hauling it outboard, the kite will probably fly?
The risk of launching the pole the wrong side of the stick is not appealing, for a small advantage on a fetch, which you might hope was not going to be in a decent race anyway.
Most boats are rigged aiming for optimum on a championship course, which is of course not always what we get at our clubs. So the fact that nobody has done it may not mean all that much.

Apart from a huge amount of knitting there is probably no reason why not. The dangly pole will easily pick up the spinnaker sheets if the kite is down.

This might be a stupid question, but can I rig a fly away spinny pole and a fly away jib stick on the same boat.

Fly away stick would go up the mast.

Spinny pole could be either up the mast or along the boom.

Am I just asking to get them colliding?

Do I need both?  Or should I just be using the Spinny more?
