Pfft, I don't mind boarders (some of my best friends are boarders etc  Tongue) and plenty of people cheerfully do both. The "no boarders" resorts are a bit dumb, to be honest

there is Al, Deer Valley and Alta, Utah... middle of morman country... but you know what, there's sections of mountains the world over that have been dedicated to boarder-orientated parks with jibs and kickers cluttering up the natural ambience, (okay so a few ski dorks with fat skis now use them, but they weren't there before boarding got mainstream).  So if a few traditional skiiers in a highly conservative part of the great US of A want to keep a small lump just for themselves, so be it.

And the antagonism (which is pathetic, although I know you've posted a bit tongue-in-cheek) well it cuts both ways... check out this for stupid boarder nonsense:

What is even more annoying is the source- Whitelines - probably the Y&Y equivalent magazine in Snowboarding.... very stupid.

Despite being in my twenties, when I started skiing, snowboards were entirely unknown on the slopes of Cairngorm etc.

As it happens, a parallel conversation at Draycote has resulted in a few of our members tentatively agreeing to meet up at the Milton Keynes Sno!Zone on the 21st Jan at 7pm to get our feet in pre-holidays.

It's totally open as we're using one of the pre-existing discount deal- a recreational, take-it-or-leave-it slopeside coaching session, so if any other sailors want to join in, please do come along.

Anyway details on Facebook, or PM me if you're not on FB:
