Laser Surfsprint

The sailing giant at the height of their power launched this fine example of sailboard... Billed as the ultimate new arrival that would bring to our sport the definitive article just as it had to dinghies...

9.99 if you're quick.. LOL

I wonder if that is the one I used on my first ever attempt at windsurfing?

Well if it was I doubt very much if you got far on it, pretty much impossible to sail above a force four.

The most bitter disappointment for lots of folk that they didn't pay more attention or hire in talent to develop a board.

Another missed opportunity for both parties, our sport and their commercial success.

GRF are you suffering from nostalgia? Rueing all those missed opportunities in the golden days of boards? Rememberig what fun it was laughing at long boards made of plywood or polystyrene packaging (until they hosed past your dinghy that is!)?

Sun's out, can't we go sailing?

The Sun's not out round here..

It's returned to freezing conditions and raining much as we need it three days on the trot I could do without thanks and the temperature needs to up it's game.

History... if we don't know where we've been we'll not know where we're headed..

I learnt to windsurf on one (even though I could hardly lift it), if I whined long enough I was allowed a go on the Hifly 555 though. Both paled into insignificance when I bought a Wayler Chipper... now that was something to behold in a F5!
