Purely in the interest of research, and to save all other forumites the trouble, I have been to review Charlie St Cloud, the supposed 'sailing based' movie with the lovely Zac Efron. If you want to see only the 'sailing' action, watch the first thirty seconds of this trailer:
Now you have seen this you don't need to see the rest! Unless of course you want to see totally unfeasible sailing scenes matched only by those in that other sailing classic 'Wind'! In a moment of weakness I ordered "Wind" from Amazon. The DVD left the USA last week. Waiting now. It'll do for a rainy day when there's no breeze.

Our club is showing "White Squall" as part of a local film festival. I've never heard of the film, but it's directed by Ridley Scott - so it can't be that bad(?) I've got my ticket to see it anyway.

My sumbission to have "kelly Brook-alike" competition added, as an experimental new event, to the 2012 schedule and judged by the lady herself was rejected, sadly, on "sexist and media" criteria. Apparently there wasn't room in the schedule after they factored in "womens" heavy division weightlifting to the live TV coverage program......
