Kieler Woche 2010

    This is a bit of a cynical thread with a hint of sarcasm but the following Y&Y report could prove that the introduction of Women's Match Racing at 2012 might not be the best idea ISAF have made to promote the sport through good and exciting TV coverage.  I hope the Camera crew are on good over time rates.

Women's Match Racing

The Women's Match Racing competition become a bit of a marathon with 
long days on the water, often not returning until sunset. The quarters, 
semis and finals were all completed on medal race day and the eventual 
winner was a delighted Ekaterina Skudina from Russia, who triumphed over
 world number two Claire Leroy of France in the final. 
In reality I do hope there will be plenty of wind for 2012 and all races are filled with excitement and drama.  The competitors deserve it.
