At last the Frankencanoe - My IC chopped and altered with wings and a kite.
about 15 foot long, 2.6m wide, 45kg all-up, 10.6mē main, ~12mē kite.

It's been sailed without the kite, but now it's all ready to go with things a bit better adjusted - hoping for 12knots on Sunday.

Sail insignia is now XC ( ex-canoe geddit? )

more here

Note the very long narrow bow, with the rig/wings/crew weight, board etc well back in the boat.

Sort of reminds me of John Claridges old Tiger Moth back in 1990. It was an over grown Moth that could of been a big singlehander and ended up as a 2 up with single wire.

This one looks from photos like completely flat bottomed.

A bit less windy today ( 61.7 knots at Bramble Bank / 100mph at the needles yesterday ), but still a bit too breezy until late this afternoon, now it's too dark to go sailing.

The kite seems to fit OK - An old Cherub kite from JimC, recut by BMW sails.
