Any one know how to make excel work in degrees not radians with out using functions? Uni course work, want to finish it this weekend so i don't feel bad about going yachting next weekend.

After looking at Excel help for a minute the cos and sin functions use radians as default (as they should do).  I can't think of any other reason why the differentiation between degrees and radians matters.

Check the help for more details.

had a quick look at my (1200+ page) Excel book and there does not appear to be an easy answer.  Just use radians and convert

surely you just multiply every value in degrees by pi/180 ?
