Just enjoying the 'my boat list' thread and got to thinking what I'd buy when the time comes to change either of my current boats.

When the Spice goes (still not ready to sell mind you) I guess RS400 or Enterprise but if the RHIB went at around the same time then it would be a toss up between a Jenneau Sun 2000 or Cornish Shrimper (19 most likely).

Can't envisage selling the Blaze before I get too old and infirm to sail anything remotely dinghylike but if I did then Solution or OK would be on the shortlist.
Spice 346 "Flat Broke"
Blaze 671 "supersonic soap dish"

If I win the lottery.. moth, which I would probably fit around a quite elaborate 18 footer campaign.

In real life I quite fancy a bit of symmetric kite sailing, so possibly a fireball or merlin. I know more people sailing merlins on the circuit, but fireballs are cheaper and there's plenty active at the club.

It hard to come away from the 200 though. The racing is just so good and we're the perfect size without trying. Likewise, it still feels like we've not mastered the 800, plus it 's one of the few boats I enjoy even when not racing.

ideally a nacra 20 carbon or FCS but reality would be a tornado for our next boat from the RS800 as it's more practical  for our river on a regular basis, and we have a fleet at the club.

quietly looking at shadows or an RS300 for those days my wife an i can't sail together.

If you'd like to try a Fireball you're welcome to take 'Sunday Girl' out.  Just let me know!

Will be sitting comfortably in my beautiful Osprey until my mega crew sacks me, hope it's not for a long time.

I am sure the Solo will come out strong from the current design discussions and that I can sail a Solo ( of some type!) until my knees finally pack up

Probably a Mirror as a second boat to take small grandchildren out in and get them interested in sailing.  They can also mess around rowing it and I can stick a small outboard on it and go to a pub when there is no wind.  Can't think of another boat that ticks all those boxes.

I want to have one last go at my own design, probably still along the lines of the 'trike' mono bow into twin aft hulls, maybe more rounded canoe style this time so it'll work on inland water, and be more narrow so trapezing or racks can be an option. Trapeze for the sea and rack/seats for the lake, a mast that rakes from the foot would be a bonus to raise and lower the boom subject to conditions on the fly. About 420 long so it'll have no problem with Lasers off the line and target weight south of 45 kgs.

Or I just cave in to convention and join the Contenders and accept I'll be punished when its windy.
