Only a few weeks before my first trip to POSH, and first open meeting in the Phantom.

Looks like:

Phantom x6
Blaze x12
D-One x7
RS100 x7
Int Canoe x6
Others x14

Any more coming?
Any tips onshore / sailing area?

Hi
When I asked somebody last year when I was going the comment was go right!
Dont get drinking with Olly and Nick Orman, mind where you park.
Have a great time, sorry I cant make it this year.
Were you at Frensham?

Thanks
Didn't do Frensham as was elsewhere, but heard it was a challenging day with the wind. Will be there next year - hopefully see you at Burghfield in Oct.

Paignton? I've sailed there and yes you did go right, massive wind bend, but with a bit of a twist as there's a gap between the rocks, amazing the recall age gives you, it was a nationals in 1979 the last event ever run by the Windsurfer class without harnesses, I can remember it like it was yesterday, but ask me if I can remember the last beat of yesterdays race....

Hi Grf
Theres a name for that, go get a memory test JIC better to start treatment early.
I forgot to add to my go right was if the winds has any west in it.
Rather than Burghfield come to Shoreham for some proper sea sailing.
Regards

If it's got west in it isn't it just going to be shifty?

Pretty sure it was just a SW but it blows over a promontory so classic wind straightening over the land then reforming to create text book bend, but depending where they set the course there's a gap in the cliffs from memory, geez where's all this coming from, I haven't been there in nearly forty years, so it's unreliable as buggery probably totally different club now.

And the water flattened out a bit nearer the finish I remember that, then it was probably the best race I ever sailed hell I was fit back then...
