There seems to be quite a few B14s up for sale.  Maybe there always is, but they seem more prevalent at the moment.

What's the story?  Has there been a change in supply or something?

Cracking boats out there for really nice prices....

what because they keep popping up on your facebook?
I think they just clocked onto how good Russ and co's facebook page is. You stick a boat on there and boom it is front page on 7000+ peoples facebook feed. Which means people like yourself see the advertisement, who wouldn't normally be looking. All you need is one of those 7000 to be either looking for what is advertised or think "perhaps" and you are halfway there to a sale. As opposed to it sitting on Apollo duck for months waiting.
But as far as I am aware there is no reason for it.
Cracking boats and a great fleet.

yes- primarily...  not a class I've seen come up on there very often and we've seen some stunners hit it in the last couple of weeks.

As I understand it there are 2 Seavolution/Synthesise and 2 Ovington boats on the market.

Ovington 1 belongs to Ben Mcgrane who is doing other classes this year (his I14 is also for sale).
Ovington 2 has been very little used for some time I think and has barely been seen on the circuit since it was built, I guess eventually you decide if you're not using you might as well sell.

The two Sevolution boats belong to class supplier Mark Barnes of which one is the boat he has been running and the other is one he built for stock - he will sail whichever one doesn't sell (or build another if they both sell).

There is always a selection of older Rondar boats going cheap, but Ovingtons are usually hard to come by and Seavolution/Synthesise boats are generally so recent that they don't come up.

The main problem the class has is that the Ovington boats last so well and are so relatively cheap that there is very little incentive to buy a new boat.  The boats which won the 2011 Nationals, 2013 Nationals, 2013 Worlds and 2014 Nationals were built in the early 2000s and are still going strong.
