...categories...
So some rich chap is going to gift you your own fleet of dream boats... what will you choose?
Rules.... you can choose only one boat in each category. They do not have to be monohulls (and I'll put a catamaran category in anyway).

1. Single handed, single sailed hiker.
2. Single handed, spinnaker hiker.
3. Single handed, trapeze boat.
4. 2 person hiker
5. 2 person, single trapeze boat.
6. 2 person, twin trapeze boat.
7. Sports/Keelboat.
8. Catamaran.

Once you've chosen your list, your rich chap says that you can have only one of the boats, for you to keep, sail and race for evermore..... Giving you an overall winner.....

8. Spitfire

Overall...... D-One

1. Single handed, single sailed hiker.

Finn

2. Single handed, spinnaker hiker.

D-One (then throw the spinnaker and prod in the bin)

3. Single handed, trapeze boat.

Contender

4. 2 person hiker

MR

5. 2 person, single trapeze boat.

505

6. 2 person, twin trapeze boat.

Int 14- they're the most expensive right? (then sell it immediately)

7. Sports/Keelboat.

decline the offer, I wouldn't want the marina / launch fees whilst waiting for it to sell

8. Catamaran

AC62 - then give it to Ben Ainslie for training boat purposes

Overall choice: a windsurfing quiver - easily funded by the sale of any one of the above ;-)

If responses stick to the simple list, as Kneewrecker used, I am happy to compile the results in a weeks time (and again when more responses have come).
B14 GBR 748 Bullet B
In build: Farr 3.7 GBR 410 (both sail number and the current number of loose parts)

5. Korsar (FD meets Fireball)
6. I14

Here are the Yoof's choices.....
1. Finn
2. D-One
3. Contender
4. B14
5. 505
6. 49er
7. SK2
8. Tornado

Overall.... Finn

I think the choosing a boat to sell/lend is no within the spirit of this.... The choices should be for personal use I reckon.

1. Single handed, single sailed hiker - RS300 : too fat for Moth now.
2. - not interested
3. - does the International Canoe sit here?
4. - not sure
5. - not sure: if I could lose 2 stone then 97 rules Cherub
6. - no preference
7. - not interested. Caravans are for taking to race meetings, not for racing on the track!
8. - maybe the A class or if I don't have to build, buy or maintain it, the C?

Overall at the moment IC.

All these surveys are funny things. The boat you choose you have to sail forever? I wonder if three years ago the RS 100 would have been there? Fashion is a fickle thing...there are 21 RS 100's on Apollo Duck and no one has chosen it on here. A mate of mine wants to sell his and buy a Byte.....sensible chap!
