Two Grand Masters (i.e. 60+) and a lady in the top three of Race 8 of the Solo nationals yesterday. OK it was not that windy but the fleet is pretty star-studded, so that was impressive. I see a certain K Paul is lying 28th out of 174 in the Contender Worlds at Como. He won his first world championship over 50 years ago. That's even more impressive. (Makes me feel very inadequate.)

I was wondering what other recent successes older guys and girls have had in dinghies.

Single quotes aren't particularly well catered for in HTML...

Colin Newman is pretty much the Guvnor when it comes to mature performance dinghy sailors. Won an International Canoe Europeans at 63, not to mention Moth sailing...

I once managed to urinate half way through a race, in a loo I stand there for hours.

Most of the current top 10 in the Nationals at Hayling are in their 20s.
