Hi, I have a pair of crewsaver hikers and they fit perfectly, I have had the for about two years and love them, they are really good and would get another pair however they have developed some serious holes. The problem is that they are not made by anyone anymore and the model has been discontinued. What I am trying to say is that I need a new pair of hiker but do not want ones with removable pads, I will not be persuaded to get a pair. I have also just invested in some rooster hot gear to avoid having to put a thin wet suit on under my hikers in this time of year. I am just wandering if anyone knows of any good makes of hikers that fit my requirements, I have looked at the full leg sandiline hikers and like the look of these, any suggestions?

Rooster classics? If you like the fit of the rooster kit then these are the obvious choice. Wear them with the lycra shorts and they last for years.

**Before i start I have a commercial relationship, but my comments are reflective of my own experience as a consumer** I have the Sandiline Hikers, have done since the bloody mary. I have the Winter full leg ones and they are simply awesome. Frankly the best hikers i have owned! They are better made, better thought out...Just better than anything else on the market (I believe). You are right you do want fixed pads, but you want hikers to fit, the hiking shorts with movable pads have issues with pads slipping or not fitting correctly. The Sandiline hikers are not cheap, but will last longer then the cheaper makes. I will be buying a pair of the3/4 leg version for summer use in the next couple of weeks. Ben Ainsle, Matt Howard to name a few have switched to Sandiline now (they know a thing or two about hiking) Sandiline will also do customer lengths/sizes if you are of a unique build. Speak with Rodney at Suntouched if you require further info, or PM me. Russ |
