maybe thats bit to much of a challenge
cats don't really go down well at our club with like a 3 mile trek up the beach when tide is out
the vortex looks a good possibility and we have on at the club that should soon be up for sale and there is the whole north sea to play in

Of course so much depends on location-I was tempted to look at this as I went very near there Sunday, as to agreeing to deliver Fireball to new custodian

Just bought a Hurricane 5.9 for exactly that reason. Even looks the part with the new SX main sail.

If the Vortes falls through try and Contender. You can get a reasonable boat for your money and they are a hoot to sail....

PM me if you are after a vortex assy. I am on the cusp of selling mine but I love however it might just be the push I need to make my mind up and get her sold. She's a goody.

You'll struggle to find an SX rigged one for a grand but a 2 sail Hurricane, or a Sport can be had for about that. They are incredibly tough boats. Andy Webb is your best bet for info.

If you get a good base boat it's easy to upgrade almost everything up to SX rig with flatop main, self tacker etc as you can afford the upgrades.
