Cue Jon Emmett (yep he is on here somewhere hiding with his arm in plaster)

I would say between 50-70 kg is best, sometimes better nearer the top end depending on the wind conditions.

My mate is about 60kg and he sails a radial without too many problems.

between 58 and 70 I think is a reasonable spectrum for the radial.  Though you can still be very competitive outside of that range.

It does depends on where you are sailing as well. On Flat water you can get away with being a lighter than in waves.

I was always told that 70Kgs for a full rig inland was about right.

55 -75 Kgs. The Men's fleet seems to be slightly heavier and the last few World Championships have been pretty windy. The average for the top women at the moment is around 67 Kgs.
