There doesn't seem to be a thread involving this years RTI so thought I'd better start one... with 1754 boats entered you would expect there to have been quite a few forumites out on the water as it was the 3rd highly attended sporting event of the year (after the London Marathon and the Great North Run).
So, who was out there? I went round on a Quarter Tonner called Step in Time with fellow Cherub sailors. We managed a respectable 79th overall so most pleased. I was a RTI virgin, and it was excellent. Does anyone have any links to photos, or remember the names on the photo boats for website links? There was a big black rib up around No Mans Land fort but I can't remember the name on it! |

Went round on our quarter tonner too, sgt pepper, finished 18th overall and 6th quarter tonner. Nice finish to a good week of sailing with our 10th place in the quarter ton cup where we got top production boat and managed to keep a lot of much more expensive boats behind us. I dont know the boat step in time? any idea what it is? Bring it along to the qtc next year!

Who was it hanging around near the finish as the slower boats came through the line? Small black motor boat IIRC...
