And not too many more in Fornels

Do not confine yourself to Ses Salinas and Fornels, Menorca is a great Island and when you get away from the madding crowd (it's not too difficult) you can find some real gems.

BTW take or arrange for a bike - Menorca are really promoting biking holidays and have miles and miles of cycle tracks through some really inaccesable (by car) places

When you find a big kettle of crazy it's probably best not to stir it - Pointy Haired Boss

Any idea where is a good place to stay? Obviously my friend won't be on holiday so luxury villas are not an option!! I have tried finding places to board cheaply, summer rentals etc but it's just holidaysholidaysholidays!!! Any ideas?

They do, but my friend is not going to be working for Minorca Sailing unfortunately so we are looking for somewhere for him to stay too!

Might be worth speaking to Minorca Sailing- they're likely to have local contacts

Minorca is SWEET. I did a week out there at the end of last summer and am going back between uni terms this year. Great bunch of instructors, the pay is a bit of a downer compared to other companies (my mate works for Neilson in the summer and gets a ridiculous amount more). The kit for day off messing about is good, and at least you are not so much teaching as coaching (most of the time). Definately consider bringing a bike, if you are only doing peak season you will be staying in fornells more than likely so its nice to have a bike to get there and back after work.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.
