I'd HATE a "celebrity" boat show for all of the reasons that have been stated, but the fact remains that Awesome Aussie Skiffs makes excellent viewing, whereas watching most (all?) other kinds of sailing is usually dull

iirc, there has been a whole topic about this? /mentioned in a topic before...

But hey, yeh i saw it, and tbh, we didnt see him above deck much, none of
the members of his family seemed to be doing anything, but still, little
unfortunate on the weather!

3 men in a boat (and the spin offs) were great shows - I loved them. Really amusing.

I read the book first (by J.K. Jerome in 1889) and was surprised to find it hilarious - a great read.

The best celebrity sailing programme I have seen was when they put poor Lenny Henry is a transatlantic trimaran with Tony Bullimore. He was so ill

Blimey Mags how old are you!!! If you read that book in 1889, that 120 years ago

Hmmm, looks like I should have put the end bracket over to the right a bit!

I put the date in to give it some perspective - not many books that old are actually funny to today's readers.
