Hey Guys

My crew and i are desperate to change classes from I14 to B14, we have I14 1359 and desperately need to sell it to buy a B14, where is the best place to sell it quickly, we have had it on Apolloduck, Boats and outboards, dinghy sailing magazine, and the tasa forum and the I14 forum.

We really need to sell it, would anybody here be interested in a swap or wants to buy a 14?

PM me.

I'd put it on the Yachts and Yachtings Classified list myself

If your boat is getting plenty of exposure and its condition is fine, then it is the price thats the problem.  Take a knock on the price, get the boat sold and haggle like mad on the new boat.   Not long before the B14 worlds at Restronget Sailing Club !

We are already taking a knock on the price, we are looking for £1500 but are willing to drop, it has loads of kit on it. The blocks on their own are worth a small fortune as they are all harken and holt.

Dan get it sold asap and get the B14 down to the Worlds - 9th -13th July.  There is no better place to learn how to sail one as the class is v.friendly and there will be all the sorted boats there to have a look at and get tips on set up and sailing.

Remember that the money you may have poured into the boat on blocks and kit you may be unlikely to get back.  A boat's sale price is not a simple addition of the value of its parts, a boat's value is the price that someone will pay for it.  So if you need rid of it you will need to bring the price down to what someone will pay for it.  My B14 is not worth anywhere near the amount of cash that I have poured into it, as much as I wish it was.

Well if anyone here, knows of anyone wanting an International 14 Direct them to

http://sailingdinghies.apolloduck.co.uk/display.phtml?aid=61 777

I would love to go to the worlds but we need the funds from the sale of the I14 to finance the B14, we are but lowly poor students

We are open to offers, all sensible ones considered.

i sold cars for 6 years and the principle for boats is just the same, if the product is well advertised and in good condition and PRICED correctly it will sell no matter what make or model, if it is poorly advertised and in average condition but well priced it will sell!  You will have to advertise it cheaper in order to get a quicker sale mate it is the only answer, unfortunately it is widly known that purchasing a development class is one way to burn money.  The only thing you can do is bite the bullet and take a chip on the money side, if you dont want to then hold on for longer and get more money If youcan!!! Remebr the first offer is nearly always the best offer

Sadly, you would get more money selling all the parts separately on ebay, especially on an old development class boat.

But only *if* you can sell them all... very easy to sell enough to make what's less worthless and still end up with less money thaan if you'd really dropped the asking price...
