i know where theres one of these for sale for a stupidly cheap price, and as i've just sold my laser 2 i am rearly tempted. But i can't find any infomation on them anywhere, probebly due to only a few ever being built.

Does anybody know any details of these boats? PN, number built, class website etc.

Never heard of it.

Its not in my Sailing Dinghy guide from 1973.

A company called Bell made the Mirror (and other) kits at one time. If this is a kit boat from 25 years ago or more, it might not be too strong now.....

no, its from the early 90's, just before bell went bust.

Its a 2 man, single trappeze asymetric dinghy. it's 14 foot long, wood construction.

but thats about all i know.

As you rightly said there were very few made.  We had one at our club about 5 years ago but it never raced so we had no need to find a PN.  Bell was run by Terry Smith but I have no longer got any valid contact details.  I know that he did a lot of work with Dave Gebhard of Trident to get the GRP mirror sorted so maybe Dave would have an e-mail or contact numbers (www.trident-uk.com).  As far as I know there is no class association as so few were made.  Terry is your best bet as he should have the numbers you need.  Hope this helps.

It was, if memory serves me right, designed by Roland Whitehead, a cat designer (he tried his hand at the C class). I think the hope was to rekindle home building fireball style with a modern asymmetric boat. Sadly, people have more access to credit and less time these days, so it failed.

hey, not sure if u have moved on the the days of looking at a bell flyer or not, but i currently own one, they are 1007 PY num, sails well, few glitchs tho! there were about 5made thats all i found out about. some have changed over the time since they were built, wings put on them etc. the design was a similar proposal to the BUZZ, but the launch was too late(according to the designer) and this ment the buzz/iso had already taken over the assemetric market.
