I still say the Alb nice and roomy and quick.  Still think the bar stool is the best place to be

the buzz is a smooth boat one of the easiest to sail downwind in a blow.  very underrated boat. i sailed one with a 6.5 stone 11 year old crew and won deben week. even beat the 400s on the water which we couldnt believe. lovely boat and smooth.

oh and got to be the 14 as the smoothest with the foil they glide up wind

Try sailing one downwind wind against tide in a 5-6, and it is anything but smooth

Any boat which dances around on the back 6 inches of the hull when planing can't be smooth as it's jumping around all over the place up and down the waves. Doesn't stop it being either fun or fast though....

Smooth boats have to be long and thin, with a fine bow entry - the FD fits this pretty well, as does the Javelin.

the buzz is really nice to sail it just gets in a grove easily.  i have raced them loads and they are a good boat so dont knock it .  Why does an older boat have to be a better smoother one new designs in theory should be better
