Best double hander for Solent racing ?

My vote is the 400, in fact I am thinking about one for a winter project at the moment. They can be picked up for £1500 and the sails are fully battened so seem to last forever. I would rather turn up at an open with a scruffy set and do alright than spend another grand on a good set and still just do alright. Then the following year, maybe splash out on some new sails. I can't imagine that the whole fleet is on the new style sails yet and apparently they don't really make any speed difference anyway so there must be some good old style sails going VERY cheap at the moment.
