Or a more exciting boat? RS 600 maybe?

if it was 20 years ago pre-XD pack  i don't see why it wouldn't still be ...

sailing a Ladial inland inanything other than carngage condtions at that size will just  result in you getting your arse handed to you on a platter by  a girl of a similar skill level who is  10 -20 kg lighter ...

So yes the boat does fall over to windward a fair amount upwind. However another thing to consider is that I'm a bit of a speed freak so would prefer something faster and ideally more challenging to sail.

Any thoughts?

Definitely, I used to sail a full rig inland at that weight comfortably (well as comfortable as you can be in a laser). On the sea I would definitely want an extra few kilos!

As for choice, plenty of choice above. If you don't want a kite and have the cash then a D-Zero or Aero 7 is probably the boat of choice. I had my D-Zero out last weekend with the full sail on (8.2sq m)and it behaved very well with my 80kgs on it.

As for speed freak why not go trapezeing so Contender, RS600 then step up to something with a kite so a Musto or RS700.

+1 on the windsurfing.

The reason it's falling over is you don't have enough power in the sail.  Easily solved by windsurfing, you simply add a bigger sail when it gets too light.
