the rs feva is great! for the kids at my club there good with the little rigs, for the more experienced the big rig is good and i love raceing them single handed with the big main and spinni, the only people these dont compensate for are heaveir teens who want to sail 2 up and adults who want to sail 2 up, but theyve normally got their own boats any way!
Your spinni aint as big as your mouth!

At its birth the Topper was the biggest injection moulded piece of plastic in the world....and could still be AFAIK.

Nope. Topper (the company) make some rotomoulded boats but the Topper (the dinghy) is definitely injection moulded.

It's a different process for a start Topper=Injection Moulded. Pico/Feva=Rotomoulded. You can get much more complex shapes with an injection moulding so you can mould-in stiffness features etc.

There have been problems with the Mylor sails breaking up if they are allowed to flog

So you need to take care

I have also heard there are concerns that plastic boats are not very good when raced hard,  apparently this is one of the reasons why the Pico was never pushed as a racing class.  It is very difficult to make a robust race boat out of plastic that is not too heavy but can take the higher loads.

Definetly a good junior boat, hikin straps are in the wrong place for an adult, but good for a child. Pretty quick offwind - ive sailed one in a force 7, absolutely flies offwind- suffers slightly upwind due to length
Any one in need of quality carbon fibre work (tillers etc) at decent prices!

Well i used one at rockley for the weeks and it was generally f4-5 and they always seemed fairly fast with the spinnaker up, so yeah good fun for a junior boat !
