Er, I think I was a bit premature posting this. I'll collect the boat and find out
more about it - watch this space! ;) |

Yeah what you can do is take the two black bladders out, then there is a sealant around the join between the hull and you can use a bathroom selant on there and that should stop it. What sail number is it? |

There's also www.toppersailboats.com and the wet and windy site which are both pretty useful! I don't know an awful lot about surfing the web for boat bits lol!!!

Thanks, the site must have been down when I last tried.
Not too sure what the problem is - the boat belongs to my sister. Apparently, it's a common problem - water is getting inside the hull via the centreboard box. I'll have to take a look myself and report back, I think Cheers Phil |

Topper class website is www.gbrtopper.co.uk By centreboard box, do you mean the black bladders contained under the hull plate? If so there are two main ways of sealing the holes in them, ensuring they are dry first. A simple way is just to tape it, using duck tape or similar, which will work but will eventually let water in. A more permanent way is to glue a peice of pro-grip over the hole using evostick or similar. It isnt a huge deal if they leak, apart from the extra weight if your racing, it does not undermine the integrity of anything. If need any parts try www.wet-windy.co.uk/topper or www.roostersailing.com or many others |
