I saw a boat very like that out at Grafham yesterday with a cut down Wayfarer sail up - perhaps it was grumpf practising?

What is it?

I definitely need something and quick, I was reduced to sailing an RS Feva
last night, it's some sort of washing up bowl kids boat, weighs a ton, what is
it with kids boats? Like my youngests Bic Open, no-one can lift it and we
expect kids to launch them..

There should be a law against it and Boat Builders should be fined for
making boats in Polyethylene.

Just 43kgs and would not be bothered by you rolling it up the beach in the shore dump ...

They must have some sort of wheels and or a trolley which mine didn't
and it lived in the RS500 until Steve & I finally got fed up with it not being
used and the hernias we were getting lifting it.

I couldn't even get that Feva onto it's beach trolley yesterday two of us
had to do it.

Nobody's answered the question, what exactly is that boat in the pic, is it
an early RS600 or was there some sort of retarded version, could I sail it
straight out of the box or does it come with the same synchronised
swimming whilst tacking lessons that Dan's got.

Looks a bit like a phantom with a trapeze. Doesn't have racks so more like a contender than a 600 in that sense, rig looks more of a 600 fully battened style. Ring Keith and find out. I am sure he will answer your questions.

Edit. The rig looks to have 2 full battens and then not sure underneath that.

Thats pretty embarrising for you then chap because all of the kids that I teach in feva's can haul the boats up on their own

I would guess that boat is some kind of prototype 600 for lightweights? Maybe the guys from LDC would know?
